Real Estate – Commercial Debt

Award-winning property lending

Octopus is an established provider of non-bank, short-term lending to commercial properties in the UK. Since 2009 we’ve lent more than £4.9 billion, and have £3.7 billion of Funds Under Management (at 30 September 2023).

An imbalanced industry

The property market is uneven. There is a shortage of affordable property, the short-term finance market isn’t adequately served by traditional lenders, and banks tend to be slow, inflexible and transactional lenders. Customers have specialist requirements, which is what the team of Octopus Real Estate property professionals are able to provide.

Our approach

We are not about simply replicating the models of other more established funds, investment and asset managers. Our focus is on sectors where there is an opportunity to provide clients with access to specialist markets.

We work with a diverse range of industry professionals to provide bespoke, customer-focused financing solutions, typically ranging from £100,000 to £50 million. Working across the commercial investment and development sectors, we offer efficient, alternative financing options throughout the property investment lifecycle.
